KENT, Ohio - In response to on-going construction and high ticket demand for Kent State baseball games at Schoonover Stadium, Kent State Athletics has announced plans for auxiliary parking and shuttle service options to help alleviate parking congestion surrounding the stadium.
"Construction of the David and Peggy Edmonds Baseball and Softball Training Facility has limited the walking access from the Allerton Parking Lot to Schoonover Stadium," said Deputy Athletics Director Devin Crosby. " Night baseball at Schoonover Stadium has really sparked an interest with our supporters. Last weekend we identified the need for alternative parking options and shuttle service to meet the growing fan base. Our goal is to ensure every fan receives timely shuttle service from the Allerton Lot or auxiliary parking lots to the stadium."
The shuttle service to transport fans to and from Schoonover Stadium will run continuously from 90 minutes prior to first pitch until 30 minutes following the end of the game. Click here to view the parking options and shuttle service pick-up and return area. Kent State Athletics personnel will be located at the Allerton and auxiliary parking lots to guide all fans to the shuttle service.
Limited parking spaces are available in the new lot west of Schoonover Stadium.
