Gymnastics Travels To Baton Rouge for NCAA Regional Saturday

Kent State's gymnastics team travels to Baton Rouge, La. this weekend, April 3-6 to take part in the NCAA Baton Rouge Regional hosted by LSU Sat., April 5 at 5 p.m. ET.

Look Back at the MAC Championships …
Kent State, 15-5 overall, took second place at the MAC Championships, Sat., March 22 in Ypsilanti, Mich. with a score of 195.125 led by Marie Case, the 2014 MAC Senior Gymnast of the Year and the 2014 MAC Gymnast of the Year. Case was selected to the All-Tournament team as well as the First Team All-MAC this season.
Rebecca Osmer set her career-high on the uneven bars with a 9.900, on her way to tying for second. Nicolle Eastman tied for seventh on the balance beam with a 9.725 and Jordan Hardison tied for seventh on the floor exercise with a 9.825.
Case was the MAC Champion in the All-Around (39.500) and on the Balance Beam (9.900) while she was Co-Champion on the Vault (9.850). She was named to the National Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches / Women (NACGC/W) Second Team All-America in the All-Around. Case is ranked 13th in the nation in the All-Around has a regional qualifying score of 39.455 and averages a 39.275. She has surpassed the All-Time Point total for a gymnast at Kent State as she has a career-total of 1,729.600. Previous record was held by Jessie James with a total of 1,644.125.
