Kent State Gymnastics Picked 2nd in MAC Preseason Poll

Kent State's gymnastics team was picked to tie for second in the Mid-American Conference gymnastics championship in 2015, according to the preseason coaches' poll released by the league Saturday.

Kent State won the regular season title a year ago with a perfect 6-0 record in the conference and 18-8 overall, while they took second at the MAC Championships. The Flashes ended the regular season with a trip to the NCAA Baton Rouge Regional and had former gymnast, Marie Case, participate in the NCAA National Championships.
Central Michigan, the 2014 MAC Champions, are tabbed to win the championship this season as they look to win their sixth consecutive title.
Bowling Green tied for second with Kent State, each receiving one first place vote, while Northern Illinois was in fourth, Eastern Michigan in fifth, Ball State in sixth and Western Michigan in seventh.
The 2015 MAC Gymnastics Championship will be held at Kent State on March 21, in Kent, Ohio.
