Rinehart Wins Second MAC Defensive Player of the Week Honor

The Mid-American Conference announced Tuesday that Kent State goalkeeper Andrea Rinehart has been named the Defensive Player of the Week as voted on by all conference head coaches.
Rinehart had a great week for the Golden Flashes, recording a shutout victory and a road win while allowing just one goal in 161.53 minutes in net. On Friday, she protected home turf with her second shutout of the season by saving ten Miami shots for the crucial MAC victory. On Sunday, she stayed on pace, saving three shots at American and holding down the position all the way through double overtime. The only goal scored on Rinehart this weekend came after she had a great play and save.
This is the second such honor for Rinehart this season as she was also named Defensive Player of the Week on October 6.
