Polen Earns Third MAC East Player of the Week Honor This Season

Kent State's Sawyer Polen was named the Mid-American Conference East Division Player of the Week for the third time this season, as announce by the conference office on Monday.
Polen led the team offensively this weekend in a big series win over Ball State. Â He picked up a hit in every game while grabbing three in the finale to help clinch the series victory. Â He also totaled five RBI in Sunday's game on a single, sacrifice fly and a bases-clearing double to score three. Â He never struck out on the weekend while adding a hit by pitch to have a .429 on-base percentage. Â In the field, he was solid defensively at shortstop with three putouts and eight assists without any errors.
