Baseball Returns Home Tuesday, Rematches Pittsburgh Wednesday

Kent State (16-6) will return home to Schoonover Stadium on Tuesday for a 5 p.m. matchup with Lake Erie (5-12) and then will travel for a rematch at Pittsburgh (11-9) on Wednesday at 3 p.m.

THE MATCHUPS
• This is the first meeting between Kent State and Lake Erie College
• The Storm is batting .312 as a team and has an ERA of 6.60 through the first 17 games of the season
• The Golden Flashes are 37-26 all-time against the Panthers
• Pittsburgh spoiled Kent State's home opener on March 16, winning 9-4
• Last season, the Golden Flashes won 1-0 on the road in the only meeting that season
• The teams also met just once in 2014 with the Flashes winning 4-1
• The Panthers are coming off a three-game home set with Boston College where they won the final two games to take the series

HOME SWEET HOME
• After Kent State's game at Pittsburgh the Golden Flashes will play nine-straight games in the friendly confines of Schoonover Stadium
• This weekend they will host their first MAC series of the season when Western Michigan comes to town for a three-game set
• The Golden Flashes will then host two midweek games against Ohio State on Tuesday, April 5 at 6 p.m. and Wednesday, April 6 at 6 p.m. against Canisius
• Toledo will then come to town the weekend of April 8-10 for a conference series
• The home stretch will end with a 6 p.m. game versus Youngstown State on Wednesday, April 13
