- Kent State scored 45 points in the first half against Western Michigan, its second highest half point total of the season, after scoring 46 points in the first half against Central Michigan.
- Sophomore forward Danny Pippen dropped a career-high 16 points against the Broncos, shooting 6-for-9 and 4-for-5 from three point land. He was a perfect 6-for-6 and 4-for-4 in the first half.
- Senior guard Kevin Zabo scored 20+ points in back-to-back games for the first time in his career.
- Junior center Adonis De La Rosa notched his fifth double-double this year (11 points, 12 rebounds).
- Kent State ranks fifth in the MAC in scoring defense (72.4) and in conference-only games is averaging 71.6 ppg which is also sixth in the league. The Golden Flashes are also the sixth-best free throw shooting team in the conference at 72.0%.
- Kent State is holding opponents 33.4% from three-point distance which is fourth in the MAC.
