Flashes Send Four Individuals to Great Lakes Regional

KENT, Ohio – The Kent State men's and women's cross country teams are sending four individuals to compete at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional in Madison, Wis., on Friday. Nicole Fleming and Leah Lisle will represent the women, while Drew Johnson and Alex Stamper will compete for the men.
The women's 6k race will begin at 11:30 a.m., with the men's 10k race following immediately after at 12:30 p.m.
Fleming is fresh off a 16th-place finish at the Mid-American Conference championships. She has four top-20 finishes this season, including two top-10 efforts. She posted a career-high sixth-place finish (14:35.8) in the women's 4k race at the Pitt Panther Open to kick off the season.
Lisle finished in 43rd-place at the MAC championships. During the season, she has three top-30 finishes and has placed in the top-20 twice. She posted a season-high 16th-place finish (14:58.9) in the women's 4k race at the Pitt Panther Open.
Johnson is coming off his fifth-consecutive top-25 finish, placing in 19th at the MAC championships. He has finished in the top-15 three times this season, including a career-high eighth-place finish (18:19.5) in the men's 6k race at the Pitt Panther Open.
Stamper grabbed a 23rd-place finish at the MAC championships. He started the season out with three straight top-10 finishes, including a career-high seventh-place finish (25:40.3) in the men's 8k race at the All-Ohio Championship.
