
Fleming Leads Flashes at MAC Championships

DeKalb, Ill. – The Kent State men's and women's cross country teams closed out their 2019 seasons at the Mid-American Conference Championships on Saturday. The Golden Flashes finished in ninth place in the men's 8000-meter race, while the women earned an 11th- place finish.
Nicole Fleming led all Golden Flashes, earning a 16th-place finish (22:31.8) in the women's 6000-meter race. Leah Lisle brought home a 43rd-place finish (23:11.2), and Jaimie Adams snagged a 62nd-place finish (23:38.0).
Drew Johnson paced the Flashes, finishing in 19th-place (26:08.1). Alex Stamper grabbed a 23rd-place finish (26:18.0), while Clark Bookman finished in 46th-place (26:52.2) for the Flashes.
Next up for the Flashes is the NCAA Great Lakes Regional in Madison, Wis. It is yet to be determined who will be competing for Kent State, but follow @KentStTrackXC on twitter and tune into kentstatesports.com for more updates.
