OXFORD, Ohio- Jaylin Walker's double-double performance of 29 points and 12 rebounds pushes Flashes past RedHawks for season sweep for a 75-66 victory.
The nine-point win, coupled with NIU's victory at Central Michigan moved Kent State into the fourth seed with one game to go. By moving one game ahead of CMU, the Flashes now control their seeding fate. With a win Friday, Kent State clinches a spot in Thursday night's MAC Tournament Quarterfinals.
Kent State improved to 21-9 overall and 10-7 in league play.
The Flashes had two other players score in double-figures as junior Antonio Williams scored 18 points and blocked three shots, and junior Philip Whittington recorded his eighth double-double of the season with 13 points and 13 rebounds.
