Kent State Places 12 on Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Academic All-MAC Team

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Twelve Kent State student-athletes earned Men's Outdoor Track & Field Academic All-MAC honors, as the Mid-American Conference recognized a total of 67 student-athletes for their successes in the classroom and in competition on Friday.
Senior Kevin Jones is the only student-athletes with a perfect 4.0 cumulative grade point average.
Seniors Brandon Avers and Samory Fraga and redshirt juniors Trevor Detillion and TJ Lawson all earned their sixth Academic All-MAC honor for track and field, while senior Sam Goodman and juniors Clark Bookman and Mitchell Kubicki each received her fourth honor.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
