Bookman Records Third-Straight Top-Five Finish at All-Ohio Championships

CEDARVILLE, Ohio – The Kent State men's and women's cross country teams finished in seventh and eighth place, respectively, at the All-Ohio Championships on Saturday. Clark Bookman secured his third-straight top-five finish to start the 2019 season.
Bookman finished in fifth place (25:31.7) to lead the Golden Flashes in the opening men's 8K race. Alex Stamper posted a career-high seventh-place finish (25:40.3), while Drew Johnson finished in 14th-place (25:58.6). Stamper earned his third-consecutive top-10 finish, and Johnson recorded a top-15 finish for the third straight race.
The women's 6K race followed the men's 8K, and Nicole Fleming paced the Golden Flashes with an 18th-place finish (22:55.1). Fleming has finished inside the top-20 in all three races this season. Leah Lisle finished in 28th place (23:17.2).
In the men's open 8K, Logan Esper led the Flashes with a 22nd-place finish (28:08.3). Nina Zraik finished in 34th place (25:46.6) to lead Kent State in the women's open 6K.
