Williams Named MAC Player of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio- Senior guard Antonio Williams was named the Co-East Division Mid-American Player of the Week after leading the Kent State men's basketball team with two great performances last week, the league announced Monday.
Williams helped Kent State improve to 3-0 in Mid-American Conference play after wins against Toledo and Central Michigan. In the 84-77 win over Toledo, Williams scored 16 points, grabbed six rebounds, and dished out a career-high seven assists. He shot 6-of-11 from the floor and went 2-of-3 from long range. In the 79-73 victory of Central Michigan, Williams scored a career and game-high 23 points on 9-of-17 shooting. He brought down four boards and dished out four assists along with two steals. With the two wins, Kent State improved to 9-0 at home.
Kent State sits 13-3 overall and 3-0 in conference play. The Flashes are one of two teams who remain undefeated in conference play. This week Kent State will hit the road and take on Miami on Tuesday, followed by Western Michigan on Saturday,
