KENT, Ohio-Â The Kent State men's basketball team will begin conference play on the road as the Flashes take on Bowling Green on Friday night at the Stroh Center. Friday's game will tipoff at 9 p.m. and will also be aired on the CBS Sports Network.

The Kent State men's basketball wrapped up its non-conference schedule at Mississippi State with a 96-68 loss to the Bulldogs, heading into conference play with a 10-3 overall record. Mississippi State used two dominant halves to erase a nine-point Kent State lead on Monday night for the win. Anthony Roberts led Kent State in scoring with 16. Danny Pippen also recorded 11 and added four rebounds Despite playing most of the game in foul trouble, Antonio Williams scored 10 points on 5-10 shooting in his limited 21 minutes of play.
Kent State shot 25-of-61 (41 percent) from the floor and hit six 3-pointers (26.1 percent). Defensively, the Flashes allowed the Bulldogs to shoot 31-of-56 (55.4 percent) from the Floor.
