Full Schedule Unveiled For Year Three of FlashFAST Era

CLEVELAND, OHIO- The 2020 schedule is officially set for the 2019 Tropical Smoothie Café Frisco Bowl champions after the Mid-American Conference announced the dates for all eight of Kent State's conference games.
The MAC will announce the start times for the first three weeks of the conference regular season in late May or early June. All remaining kick times and television announcements for conference games will be made 12 days prior to the game day.
The Golden Flashes will open Mid-American Conference play at Northern Illinois on Saturday, October 3rd. It marks the first time that the Flashes have opened conference play against NIU since 1982. The MAC home opener is the annual Crystal Clinic Wagon Wheel Challenge with the school down the road on October 10th. The traditional Saturday games close out October for Kent State at Buffalo (October 17th) and home to Western Michigan (October 24th).
Kent State is slated for four "MACtion" weeknight games in November that will air on either CBS Sports Network or an ESPN affiliate. The weeknight slate gets started on Wednesday, November 4th with the battle for the Anniversary Trophy at Bowling Green. A week later, the Ohio Bobcats come to Dix Stadium for a Wednesday night showdown.
It will be a short week for the Flashes as they wrap up their road season at defending MAC champion Miami on Tuesday, November 17th. A week later, the 2019 west division champion Central Michigan Chippewas come to Kent on Tuesday, November 24th.
The Mid-American Conference Championship game will be held either Friday, December 4th or Saturday, December 5th at Ford Field in Detroit.

The Golden Flashes will hold their first of 15 spring semester practices on Monday, March 2. Kent State's 2020 spring showcase will be Saturday, April 11, inside Dix Stadium at 1:00 p.m. Admission is free.Â
