KENT, Ohio- The Kent State men's basketball team hits the road as they travel to Mount Pleasant for a matchup with Central Michigan on Tuesday night. Tip time is scheduled for  4:30 p.m.

The Kent State men's basketball team dropped to 4-3 overall and 1-2 in MAC play after coming away with an 80-54 victory over Western Michigan at home on Saturday. The story of the game was Kent State outscoring the Broncos 53-27 in the second half, with their offense coming alive and stifling Western Michigan. Kent State was led by senior Michael Nuga who scored a career-high 26 points. Nuga also grabbed five rebounds and had two steals. Sophomore Giovanni Santiago added 13 points and connected on 3-of-5 from beyond the arc, while senior Justn Hamilton rounded out the double-digit scoring with 10 points and nine rebounds.
 On the season, the Flashes are shooting 45.9 percent from the floor and 32.7percent from beyond the arc. Defensively, Kent State has held its opponents to 65 points per game on 37.8 percent shooting from the floor and 30.7 percent from long range.

They bumped their lead to 19, 53-34, four minutes into the second half and the Chippewas never got closer than 17 points the rest of the way. The Chippewas shot 30 percent from the field overall and made just three of their 16 3-point attempts (18.8 percent).
Travon Broadway Jr. scored 19 points to lead the Chippewas. Meikkel Murray added 14 and Caleb Huffman and Caleb Hodgson finished with 10 each.
