Danny Pippen Named MAC Player of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio- Senior Danny Pippen named was named Mid-American Conference Player of the week after leading Kent State men's basketball team with two great performances last week, the league announced Monday.
Pippen led the Flashes to 2-0 this week in wins over Central Michigan and Ohio. After missing a game, Pippen returned to action against Central Michigan and led the Flashes posting his second double-double on the season with a game-high 28 points and 11 rebounds. He also added four assists and three blocks. In the 89-79 victory over Ohio, Pippen secured his fourth game scoring 20+ points in leading KSU with 22 points, eight rebounds, and two assists. Pippen scored 20 of his points in the second half. On the season Pippen is averaging 21 points per game and 8.6 rebounds. He's scored in double-figures in all eight games and has scored 20+ points in his last three games.
Kent State stands 6-3 overall and 3-2 in league play. The Flashes look to win their fourth-straight as they take on Buffalo on Tuesday, Jan. 19 at the M.A.C. Center. Tip time is scheduled for 5 p.m.
