KENT, Ohio- The Kent State men's basketball team returns home on Tuesday, Jan. 5 to host the Toledo Rockets at the M.A.C. Center. Tip time is scheduled for 2 p.m.

The Rockets, stand( 8-3, 3-0) under the direction of 11-year head coach Tod Kowalczyk after coming away with a 70-59 win over Western Michigan. Toledo continued its strong defensive play with Saturday's 70-59 win at Western Michigan, marking the fourth time in last five outings the Rockets have held their opponent under 60 points. Freshman Ryan Rollins paced Toledo's attack with a season-tying best 20 points. Junior JT Shumate nearly registered a double-double with 16 points and a team-high nine rebounds.
The Rockets are averaging 74.8 points per game on 41.2 percent (275-667) shooting from the floor and 37.2 percent (112-301) from long range.
Defensively, UT has held its opponents to score 66.5 per game on 42.5 percent shooting from the field and 26.1 percent shooting from beyond the arc.
