Cephas Added To Biletnikoff Watch List

KENT, OHIO- Kent State wide receiver Dante Cephas has been named to the Biletnikoff Award Watch List as announced by the Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation.
The award is given annually to the best pass catcher in college football, regardless of position. Cephas' breakout performance this season earned him a spot on the latest iteration of the list.
The redshirt sophomore has come on strong in 2021, recording a trio of 100-plus yard games and has at least one receiving touchdown in four of his last five games. Highlighting the streak was his 13-catch, 186-yard, three touchdown performance in the victory over Buffalo.
Cephas ranks in the top three in the MAC in receptions, yards and receiving touchdowns and is one of three receivers to average over 110 yards in conference play.
The Golden Flashes are coming off a 34-27 victory at Ohio where Cephas had 103 yards receiving and a touchdown. He and the Golden Flashes are off until Wednesday, November 3rd when they host west division leading Northern Illinois.
