The Golden Flashes are fresh off a second-place finish in the sunny Naples Invitational after defeating JMU and George Washington before falling to ETSU, 57-51, in the title game. Kent State heads back to snowy northeast Ohio for a stretch of seven home games in 32 days over the holidays with just one road game against WVU on Dec. 12.

He scored a season-high 21 points to go with a season-high nine rebounds in the championship. Scouting the Pioneers
The Pioneers are led by fourth-year head coach Joe Lewandowski. He and the Pioneers are 2-3 early in the season with both wins coming against Penn State - Shenango. In their most recent contest, Point Park fell to Rio Grand by one-point after a late shot nipped the Pioneers.
Point Park is led by Sherron Schifino who averages 15.8 points per game while starting all five games this season for the Pioneers. The Pioneers also have a 7-footer out of India by the name of Jagshaanbir Singh Jhawar who is a rebounding machine. The sophomore has started all five games and averages 11.2 boards per contest to lead the team.
The Pioneers can score the basketball, averaging 75.0 points per game on 47.7 percent shooting. They do most of their damage inside the three-point line as they only average 6.6 made threes per game.
