
Golden Flashes Back in Action at MAC Cross Country Championships

The Kent State men's and women's cross country teams will run at the Ohio University Golf Course for the second time this fall on Saturday when the teams compete at the Mid-American Conference Championships.
The women's 6k race is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. and the starting gun for the men's 8k race is will sound at 12 p.m.

Previewing the Flashes
The Golden Flashes' men remain at No. 12 in the most recent USTFCCA Men's Cross Country Great Lakes Regional Poll. Baidy Ba has placed in the top 10 in all three races this season and clocked an 8K personal-best of 23:41.0 at the Live in Lou Classic. Joe Farley has also had a strong season and led Kent State with a fifth-place finish at the MSU Spartan Invitational in mid-September. Three additional runners ran sub-25:00 races the last time the team fielded a complete lineup back at the Live in Lou Classic.
Leah Lisle has been top finisher for the women's squad in all four races this season and is coming off a strong performance at the Falcon Invitational two weeks ago, finishing 19th in a time of 22:18.0. Nina Zraik also clocked in under 23:00 the last time out.
Up Next for the Flashes
Kent State will have a week off to get ready for the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championships in Terre Haute, Indiana on Nov. 11.
