Coral Gables, FLA... The Kent State women's golf team battled through the third round but slid two spots on the final day of the Hurricane Invitational to finish their final event of the fall in a tie for eighth.
Overall it was a phenomenal semester for the #10 team in the country as the Flashes posted finishes of third, fourth and second as a team prior to this, with two individual wins from Mayka Hoogeboom.
Kent State was led this weekend by Noromal Nuchsila, who played steady on both days, never carding higher than a 70 to finish the event in 18th. Blanca Yague-Cuadros ensured a second Flash would hold a top-25 spot, sinking two birdies on the final day to wrap up the Invite in a tie for 24th.
The Flashes will have the long winter off but will return to Florida on on February 5th to kickoff the spring portion of their schedule at the UCF Challenge in Orlando.
