
Flashes Head to Vegas for Prestigious Cliff Keen Invitational

LAS VEGAS, Nev.- The Flashes will be traveling to Las Vegas this weekend to compete in the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational. The event will be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center on Friday, December 2 and Saturday, December 3.
Kent State has competed in the last three editions of the tournament, which hosts numerous top programs from around college wrestling. Seven of the 33 participants in the event are ranked inside the top 25 and three of those are top 10 teams (#3 Arizona State, #5 Ohio State and #7 Michigan).
Multiple Flashes competing at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational have had high placements in events this season. Jake Ferri won the Mountaineer Invitational, Kody Komara placed 3rd at the Navy Classic, and Enrique Munguia has finished 1st, 3rd and 1st in his three events. These and seven other Kent State wrestlers will be looking to make waves in a stacked field this weekend.
The two day event gets underway at noon eastern/9 a.m. pacific time on Friday. The double-elimination tournament will wrestle through the championship quarterfinals and the consolation rounds of eight on Friday. The final rounds on Friday are scheduled to start at 9 p.m. eastern/6 p.m. pacific time.Â
Championship Saturday will start at 1 p.m. eastern/ 10 a.m. pacific time with the semi-finals, consolation finals and the 5th-8th place matches. The title rounds will start at 6 p.m. eastern/ 3 p.m. pacific time.Â
The event will be streamed on FloWrestling, while live stats will be available through FloArena. Tickets for the event can be bought at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
