Kent State Hosts Alumni Career Night

KENT, OHIO- As part of the Golden Flashes' strategic plan to boldly prepare our student-athletes for life after sports, Kent State Athletics hosted an Alumni Career Night for junior student-athletes.
Six former Golden Flashes participated in the event, which provided current student-athletes with the opportunity to learn about the professional careers of some of those who came before them.
"I was so glad I got the chance to hear from those who have already walked the path of being student-athletes," track and field student-athlete Quintin Cooks said.
The career night provided a round-table discussion, allowing the student-athletes a chance to interact and network. The discussion provided a blueprint on how to succeed once their athletic careers come to an end.
"The alumni's successes after college paired with their words of advice and encouragement let me know I can achieve my dreams and thrive post-graduation," Cooks added.
