Eight Golden Flashes Participate in Kent State Pro Day

KENT, OHIO-Eight Golden Flashes participated in the annual Kent State Pro Day held inside the Kent State Fieldhouse.
Pro days are a way for college football players to be seen by professional scouts outside of the annual NFL Combine and are closed to the public. Kent State's pro day is no exception. Quarterback Dustin Crum, wide receivers Nykeim Johnson and Keshunn Abram, tight end Aaron Hackett, defensive backs Elvis Hines and KJ Sherald, defensive lineman Jabbar Price and linebacker Mandela Lawrence-Burke are participated.
The eight Golden Flash alums went through a series of drills and tests in front of media and NFL scouts. Standard tests and drills include the bench press, vertical leap, broad jump, forty-yard dash, shuttle run and three-cone drill. Dustin Crum threw a full "route tree" to Keshunn Abram, Nykeim Johnson and Aaron Hackett. Crum finishes his Kent State career in the top-10 all-time in several categories including: completions (3rd, 575), attempts (5th, 863), yards (2nd, 7417), touchdown passes (2nd, 55), completion percentage (1st, 66.7) and total offense (2nd, 9,488). He also finished with 24 rushing touchdowns, good for 10th all-time.
Crum only participated in the throwing portion of the pro day, having done all of the testing drills at the combine. The quarterback was clocked at a 4.74 40-yard dash, good for fourth fastest amongst quarterbacks. Keshunn Abram impressed with a 37-inch vertical leap and a 4.42 40-yard dash. Nykeim Johnson also had a good day, clocking in the low 4.5s in his 40 time.
The prospects will now return to their respective training centers in preparation for the next step in their football careers.
