Soccer Unveils 2022 Schedule

KENT, Ohio -Â The Kent State women's soccer team has announced its schedule for the 2022 season, which marks the 25th anniversary of the program's inaugural campaign in 1997.
The Golden Flashes will be at home for the opening weekend of competition, hosting Cleveland State on Aug. 18 and Oakland on Aug. 21 at Zoeller Field at Dix Stadium.
Eight of the next 10 contests will be on the road, including five in a row, beginning Aug. 28 at Dayton. Kent State will close the non-conference slate with trips to Pitt (Sept. 1), Loyola (Sept. 4), Youngstown State (Sept. 8) and Ohio State (Sept. 11).
The Flashes will host Ohio on Sept. 22 in the first Mid-American Conference match of the season before visiting rival Akron on Sept. 25 and Western Michigan on Sept. 29. After hosting Toledo on Oct. 2, a trip to Eastern Michigan follows on Oct. 6 heading into a back end that is heavy with home contests.
Kent State will play four of its final six regular matches at Zoeller Field at Dix Stadium, beginning Oct. 9 against Miami. The Flashes will then host Bowling Green for a rematch of the 2021 MAC Tournament championship game on Oct. 13.
The final two weekends will feature one home contest and one road contest each. Kent State travels to Northern Illinois on Oct. 16 and is back home against Ball State on Oct. 20. The Flashes then head to Central Michigan on Oct. 23 before concluding the regular season at home on Oct. 27 against Buffalo.
The MAC Tournament will be played Oct. 30-Nov. 6.
