Gold Out Headlines Homecoming Festivities: What You Need to Know

KENT- Your Golden Flashes return home on Saturday, October 21st against the Buffalo Bulls in the annual homecoming game at Dix Stadium, kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m.
With homecoming festivities taking place all day on Saturday ( full information available here). We encourage fans to get to Dix Stadium AT LEAST an hour before the 3:30 p.m. kickoff. Drivers are asked to have their parking pass clearly displayed. Fans should note that once the lots are full that parking passes will not be accepted. Please note that with rain in the forecast, lawn parking behind the south end zone may be closed. Once lots are full, fans will be redirected to the FREE overflow lots located across Route 261 on Summit Street.
Our game day tailgate will open three hours before kickoff at 12:30 p.m. DJ Smillz, Raising Canes, Top Shot Golf will all be on hand to get your game day started. Come hungry as Mamacitas and Daisy Pops food trucks will have food for sale. Students are encouraged to sign up at the tailgate for the chance to participate in the Water Street Tavern Kick For Cash, a 40-yard field goal attempt for $25,000 at the end of the third quarter. The GRIT Walk will be around 1 p.m. as fans can welcome your Golden Flashes into Dix Stadium.
Homecoming also is the annual All-Sport Reunion where Golden Flash alumni come back to campus.ย Former student-athletes, cheer and dance, student trainers and managers are invited to bring family for food, beverages and giveaways to the All Sport reunion tent located outside the main gate , next to the Flash Nation Tailgate on the west side of Dix Stadium from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.Those that have purchased a ticket to the Varsity K Tailgate will get TWO FREE drink tickets to use in the Phelan Lounge during the game, ticket packages start at $15 and can be purchased at the tailgate on game day. The All-Sport Reunion will still have its traditional platform tent on the north side of Dix Stadium during the game.

Gates open at 2 p.m., 90 minutes before kickoff. Fans can enjoy a happy hour from 2:00-3:00 p.m. with half-off Bud Light beer. Homecoming will be a GOLD OUT and fans are encouraged to wear their Kent State gold for the game. The first 1,500 fans can pick up their gold rally towel as they enter the stadium. Gold pom-poms will be given out to the first 2,500 students and Gold Kent State keychain bottle openers will be given out to the first 1,000 students. Students who stay through the end of the third quarter will have a chance to win a Segway Ninebot Electric Scooter.
The Family Four Pack is back by popular demand for the Buffalo game and will be available for all football home games the rest of the regular season. Fans get four tickets, four hot dogs, four chips and four soft drinks for $70. Packs can be purchased at KSUTix.com and vouchers can be picked up at will call on game day.
