Flashes Fall to Ducks on the Road

Eugene, OR -The Flashes fell to the Oregon Ducks 84-70 Thursday evening. The Flashes will look ahead to finish their non-conference schedule at St. Mary's College on Friday, December 29. Tip-off time is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET.
The Ducks came out with a lot of energy going on a 5-0 run to start the game. The Flashes could not gain control of the game, but Tyem Freeman coming off the bench and hitting back-to-back threes helped the Flashes only trail by one point. Freeman led the Flashes with 16 points and seven boards. The Flashes struggled only shooting 33.3 percent from the field in the first half and recording seven turnovers. Ducks' Kario Oquendo and Jermaine Couisnard recorded double-digits in the first half giving them a 16-point lead going into the final 20 minutes of the game.
Despite the Flashes down by double-digits, they came into the second half cutting the score to 55-51 with a step back three from Jalen Sullinger. The Ducks did not let that go, again taking the lead by double digits. Four Oregon players recorded double-digits including a double-double of 27 points and 10 rebounds from Jermaine Couisnard.
The Flashes recorded 31 points from the bench and four players recorded double-digits. Along with Freeman were VonCameron Davis and Chris Payton Jr. with 10 points each and Jalen Sullinger with 11 points. The Flashes shot 45.8 percent from the three and 83.3 percent from the field.

Next up, the Golden Flashes will be back on the road after the Holidays to play their final non-conference game against St. Mary's College on Friday, December 29. Tip-off time is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET. The Flashes will host their first MACtion game on Tuesday, January 2 against Ball State.
