
Flashes Add Nine to Academic-All MAC Team

KENT- Nine Golden Flashes earned the distinction of Academic All-Conference honors, as announced by the Mid-American Conference on Friday.
The accolades add to a dominant semester in the classroom for the Golden Flashes as they earned their highest semester and cumulative grade-point averages in program history. The fall semester also marked the first time the program had back-to-back semesters with a team GPA over a 3.0 and the first time the program posted above a 3.0 during the season.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests during the 2023 season. A total of 184 student-athletes earned the honor this season. Kent State's honorees are listed below.

2. Gavin Garcia, Soph, Business, 3.96 GPA
3. Chase Fortkamp, Jr, Communication Arts, 3.86 GPA
4. Tommy Ulatowski, Soph, Business, 3.75 GPA
5. Rocco Nicholl, Soph, Business, 3.71 GPA
6. Trell Harris, Soph, Communications, 3.43 GPA
7. Nolan Rumler, Grad, Criminal Justice, 3.35 GPA
8.AJ Campbell, Jr, Finance, 3.34 GPA
9. Macyo Williams, Sports Performance, 3.22 GPA
