Scott Earns MAC Co-Pitcher of the Week Honors

KENT- Golden Flashes' closer Mitchell Scott was named the Mid-American Conference co-pitcher of the week for his efforts in the weekend sweep of Bowling Green.
Scott recorded a pair of multi-inning saves over the weekend. The righty recorded a six-out save on Friday and an eight-out save on Sunday. He recorded a pair of strikeouts in both outings and preserved the lead on Sunday after inheriting and getting out of a bases-loaded, nobody out jam.
On Friday, Scott allowed only one baserunner in his 2.2 innings of work, securing the 1-0 win in the series opener. Scott now has a MAC-leading five saves on the season and dropped his earned run average to 0.74 across 15 appearances and 24.1 innings of work.
The Flashes improved to 21-10 on the season after a 3-1 week last week. The team returns home to start a four-game home stand on Tuesday, welcoming in the Pitt Panthers. First pitch is set for 6 p.m.
