Carry Set to Compete at Portsmouth Invitational

Portsmouth, VA - Kent State's Sincere Carry will take part in the Portsmouth Invitational (PIT), Apr. 12-15 in Portsmouth, Va.
Now in its 69th year, the PIT is a four-day, 12-game tournament that offers top college seniors the chance to showcase their skills in front of professional scouts, including representatives from all 30 NBA teams.
The list of PIT alumni includes NBA legends Rick Barry, Earl 'The Pearl' Monroe, Dave Cowens, John Stockton, and Scottie Pippen.

Carry's team, Norfolk Sports Club, is guaranteed three games. Carry's team is scheduled to play Thursday, April 13 at 9 p.m. A win moves them into Friday's 9 p.m. CT semifinal. A loss drops them into the consolation bracket (Thursday, 3:15 p.m.). The event concludes Saturday with a placement round.
The 6-foot-1 Carry earned both All-MAC First Team and All-Defensive Team for the second season in a row. He averaged 17.5 points, 4th in the MAC, and 4.8 assists, third in the MAC. Carry was named MAC Player of the Year in the 2021-22 season and the leader of the Flashes' offense in his two seasons with Kent.
A total of 64 players were chosen to compete. Carry is one of four from the Mid-American Conference, joined by Bowling Green, Leon Ayers III, Toledo's JT Shumate, and Setric Millner III.
