KENT-Kent State football fans will get their first chance to check out spring ball with the first open practice of the #KentGRIT era scheduled for this Saturday at 1 p.m. inside Dix Stadium.
Fans will get an inside look at the team as the Golden Flashes build towards the annual spring game on Saturday, April 29th at 6 p.m.
Saturday will give fans the opportunity to get involved with the spring practice as a few lucky fans will get the opportunity to try their hand at select drills. Quarterbacking a seven-on-seven drill, kicking field goals, catching a punt, and one-v-one drills will all feature lucky Flash fans.
Fan accuracy will also be tested as fans will be selected to compete in passing drills in between sessions as will their strength during the tug-o-war competition. Be sure to stick around at the end of practice to see the Flash Flock drill to close the day. That will be followed by an autograph session with the team and a photo opportunity with Coach Kenni Burns.
Saturday's practice will be free to the public with gates opening at 1 p.m. DJ Smillz will be providing the music for the day. Â
This will be the first open practice of the spring season with the team planning a Greek Day open practice next week. Follow KentStFootball on social media and kentstatesports.com for more details.
