Register Now for the First Home Game 5K!

Kent State University Athletics is inviting runners and walkers of all ages to register for the first annual "First Home Game 5K" to celebrate the start of the Golden Flashes' home schedule.
This year's 5K will be held on Saturday, September 16, starting at the Water Street Tavern in downtown Kent and ends at Dix Stadium. Registration and packet pick-up starts at 8 a.m. with the race starting at 9 a.m. A tailgate celebration and awards ceremony will begin at Dix Stadium at 10:30 a.m. The tailgate and post-race festivities will be open to everyone and will lead straight into the Golden Flashes' home opener against the Central Connecticut State at 12 p.m.
Registration for the 5K is $10 for all Kent State students and $20 for non-students and includes a ticket to the home opener. The first 200 people to register for the race will receive a free replica Kent State football jersey at sign-in. Prizes for participants will be awarded at the finish line, with a free Trek Bike donated by Anheuser Busch going to the winner of the race.
