
Flashes Take on the RedHawks for Annual "International Night"

Kent, OH - After a 71-64 loss to Ohio, the Flashes will look to bounce back against Miami (OH) inside the M.A.C. Center on Tuesday, Jan.30. Tip-off time is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.
Tomorrow night's game will be live on ESPN+ with Dan Griffin and Jana Ashley on the call. The game can also be heard on WHK 14420 AM with Rob Polinksy.
Last Time Out
The Flashes went 1-1 last week with an OT win against Bowling Green on the road and a home loss to Ohio last Friday night.
The Flashes are now 5-5 in the M.A.C. Center, averaging 82.2 ppg on their home court. Overall, Kent State sits second in the MAC averaging 77.8ppg and third in offensive rebounds at 11 per game. Jalen Sullinger and VonCameron Davis lead the Flashes with 15.5 points per game in MAC Play. Sullinger has recorded double-digit points in six of the Flashes' eight MAC games, including a 30-point game against Bowling Green. Davis has recorded double-digits in all of the Flashes' conference games, including three 20+ point games and a double-double in the win over Bowling Green.
Key Players for The RedHawks
Overall the RedHawks are 10-10 and 4-4 in the MAC sitting in fourth place with Ohio. Head Coach Travis Steele enters his second season with the RedHawks after a 12-20 overall record in the 2022-23 season.
The RedHawks are hot after beating a then-undefeated in the MAC Akron 70-68 on Saturday. Darweshi Hunter made the game-winning jump shot in the final seconds of regulation time to seal their victory. Anderson Mirambeaux led the RedHawks with 19 points. As a whole, Miami averages 47 percent from the field, 37.5 from the three, and 69.4 percent from the charity stripe.
Series Matchup
This will be the 151st time these two teams compete against each other. The Flashes are on a six-game winning streak against Miami while the RedHawks take the all-time series 92-58. Miami also leads the all-time series inside the M.A.C. Center 37-34. The two teams met one time last season in Oxford, OH and the Flashes defeated Miami 69-66.

The international night will consist of international students, proudly displaying their country's flag on the MAC Center court during halftime, led by our very own Vice President, Dr. Marcello Fantoni. Additionally, there will be free pizza for participants. Tuesday's game is also out "330 Night" allowing local businesses to get discounted group tickets.
