Golden Flashes to Welcome Niagara for Final Home Game in November

KENT– The Kent State Men's Basketball team is set to welcome Niagara University on Thursday, Nov. 21. Tipoff against the Purple Eagles is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. inside the M.A.C. Center.
This will be the 12th meeting in program history between the Kent State Golden Flashes and the Niagara Purple Eagles. Overall, Kent State is 4-7 against Niagara but has dominated the series as of late winning the last three straight meetings. KSU scored at least 100 points in their previous two meetings with Niagara winning their last matchup on Dec. 6, 2016 by a final score of 100-72, and their previous meeting on Nov. 23, 2013 by a final score of 102-97. All time, Kent State has played Niagara three times in the 1950's, once in the 1970's, three times in the 1980' s, twice in the 1990's, and twice in the 2010's.
Last Time Out
Kent State is coming off their first loss of the 2024-25 season to #5 Auburn by a final score of 79-56. The Flashes kept the pressure on against the Tigers with VonCameron Davis and Jalen Sullinger each dropping double-digits in a game that the Flashes closed to a four-point difference following a fast Auburn start.

The Purple Eagles' top three scorers are Olimide Adelodun (15.3), Jahari Williamson (11.8), and Justice Smith (9.0). As a team they are shooting 45.1% from the floor, 39.7% from behind the arch, and 12.5% from the free throw line.

Thursday's game will be broadcast on ESPN+ with Dane Richardson and Jana Ashley on the call. The game will also be broadcast on the Kent State Radio Network with Rob Polinsky on the call.
