
Flashes Return to the M.A.C. Center to Host the Huskies

Kent, OH - The Flashes return to the M.A.C. Center after a bye week following their final MAC-SBC game against Troy University on Feb. 10. The Flashes were defeated 68-78 inside Trojan Arena. The Flashes' most recent game inside the M.A.C. Center was a 63-61 victory over Western Michigan. The NIU Huskies will take on the Flashes on Saturday, Feb. 17, and is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET.Â
Saturday's game will be live on ESPN+ with Dan Griffin and Jana Ashley on the call. The game can also be heard on WHK 14420 AM with Rob Polinksy.Â
Last Time OutÂ
The Flashes went 1-1 last week with a win over Western Michigan at home and a road loss to Troy University. Â
The Flashes are now 6-6 in the M.A.C. Center, averaging 79.4 ppg with a +4.3 scoring margin on their home court. Overall, Kent State sits third in the MAC averaging 76.5ppg, first shooting 76.3 percent from the foul line, and second averaging 7.25 steals per game. The Flashes lead the MAC in three-pointers during conference play shooting 37.4 percent. Jalen Sullinger leads the Flashes with 15.7 points per game in MAC Play. Sullinger has recorded double-digit points in nine of the Flashes' ten MAC games, including a 30-point game against Bowling Green. Davis has recorded double-digits in all of the Flashes' conference games, including three 20+ point games and a double-double in the win over Bowling Green. Reggie Bass is hot coming off a team-high 21 points and six assists against Troy.Â

The Huskies are 9-15 overall and 3-8 in the MAC. The Huskies' most recent game was a 72-68 victory over Buffalo at home. Xavier Amos scored a game-high 25 points while Zarique Nutter recorded his second-straight double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds. The Huskies are led by offensive leader David Coit who averages 19.2 points per game, fourth in the MAC. The Huskies average 75.5 points per game while shooting 45.1 percent from the field, 33.6 percent from the three, and 67.7 percent from the foul line.
Series Matchup
The Flashes and Huskies will meet for the second time this season. Earlier this season, the Flashes defeated NIU 83-76 on the road. Kent leads the all-time series 42-23 and inside the M.A.C. Center 22-8.Â

Youth Basketball Day will consist of slap bracelets for the first 500 fans and basketball sleeves for the first 250 fans. Saturday's game will also be the Flashes' Future Flashes Kids Club game and they are guaranteed the giveaway items and a voucher for free Dippin' Dots at concessions.

The Flashes will be back on the road to face the Ohio Bobcats for the second time this season.
