Flashes Head to Cleveland for MAC Men's Basketball Tournament Quarterfinals

Cleveland, OH - The Kent State men's basketball team (15-16, 8-10 MAC) wrapped up their regular season on the road against Toledo losing 71-86. With Toledo's victory, they collected their fourth straight MAC title.
The Flashes will go into the 2024 MAC Tournament as the eighth seed and will have to face No.1 seed Toledo for the third time this season. The two teams will meet in Rocket Mortgage Field House on Thursday, March 14 at 11 a.m. The Flashes will look to defend their MAC Tournament Title after winning in 2023. Thursday's game will be available on ESPN+.

The Flashes look to earn their 8th MAC Championship Title. In the MAC Tournament, the Flashes are 46-22 all-time in program history, making 14 Championship game appearances and 20 semifinal appearances. The Flashes against opponents in the MAC Tournament: Akron (4-6), Ball State (3-3), Bowling Green (5-2), Buffalo (4-2), Central Michigan (2-5), Eastern Michigan (3-2), Marshall (3-0), Miami (5-5), NIU (3-0), Ohio (6-5), Toledo (4-1), and Western Michigan (3-2).
Series Matchup
This will be the third meeting among the teams this season. Toledo defeated the Flashes in both regular season games. This is the 143rd time the Flashes and Toledo meet in program history. Toledo leads the all-time series 87-55 but the Flashes take the neutral site all-time series 4-0.
