Flashes Gear Up for Last Regular Season Game Against the Rockets

Toledo Ohio- The Kent State men's basketball team will hit the road for their final game of the regular season. The Flashes are heading to Toledo, OH on Friday, March 8. Friday's game will be nationally televised on CBS Sports Network.Â
Friday's game will be live on CBS Sports Network with PxP John Sadek and Analyst Tre Demps. The game can also be heard on ESPN Cleveland 850 with Rob Polinksy.Â
Last Time OutÂ
The Kent State men's basketball team went 2-0 inside the M.A.C. Center last week but fell to Ball State on the road, 69-76 earlier this week.Â
VonCameron Davis has been consistent this season recording double-digits in every MAC game this season. His senior teammate, Giovanni Santiago is currently ranked seventh in Kent State history in assists, as well as being one game away from breaking the top ten barrier of games played in program history. Offensive leader, Jalen Sullinger, averages 16.7 points per game in MAC play (seventh in MAC play), including a 30 point game against Bowling Green and Buffalo. With the Flashes' victory over Central Michigan, the Flashes clinched a spot in the 2023-24 MAC Tournament.  .Â
Key Players for The Rockets
As the Flashes prepare to face off against Toledo, they must contend with formidable opponents boasting a 19-11 overall record and a 13-4 standing in MAC play. The Rockets are coming off a blowout win on the road after defeating the Miami Redhawks on Tuesday. Led by Raheim Moss and Dante Maddox Jr, Toledo is tied for first in the MAC and will look to capture their fourth straight MAC title on Friday versus the Flashes. Moss averages 15.7 points a game while his junior teammate Maddox follows closely behind with 15.4 points. The Rockets shoot 47.9 percent from field goal range and 37.7 percent from three.Â
Series Matchup
This showdown marks the second encounter between Kent State and Toledo this season, with the Rockets leading after a loss at Kent State in January, 75-89. With the all-time series standing at 86-55 in favor of Toledo, Kent State looks to close that gap Friday night in hopes of securing another win on the road.
