Ayden Bath Named Field Athlete of the Week

CLEVELAND – The Mid-American Conference announced their track and field athletes of the week today. Ayden Bath was named men's field athlete of the week for his performance in the decathlon at the Hurricane Alumni Invitational.
Bath scored 6,907 points in the event, good for 10th all-time in program history. He also set six personal bests across both days of the event. On day one he started on a high note with a personal best in the 100-meter dash of 10.92 seconds, he book ended the day with a 400-meter dash personal best of 50.92 seconds. On day two, Bath had a day any decathlete dreams of setting four personal bests. He started with a best in the 110-meter hurdles of 14.23, then he added another in the discus throw of 109' 6". After a strong showing in the pole vault he closed the competition with two more bests. First in the javelin throw with a mark of 156' 2" and finally in the 1500-meter run with a time of 5:20.27. This is Bath's second MAC Athlete of the Week honor.
