
Gabby Bailey set to compete at NCAA Championships

KENT – Gabby Bailey is set to make her fifth NCAA Championships appearance tomorrow at historic Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. Bailey is twice an All-American, finishing sixth both times. Her first honor came at the 2021 indoor championships where she threw 56' 1.75" in the shot put, ranking second in program history. At the 2021 outdoor championships, she was sixth in the discus, throwing 189'5".
This competition will be the sixth competition on the NCAA's largest stage. Gabby made her first NCAA appearance in the shot put as a freshman at the 2019 outdoor championships. Her second and third appearances were at the 2021 indoor and outdoor championships. At the 2021 outdoor championships, she competed in both the shot put and discus. In 2022 she returned to the outdoor championships, competing in the discus.
Bailey is set to step in the ring at 5:05 p.m. ET tomorrow. The top 8 finishers will earn first-team All-America honors and finishers 9-12 will earn second-team honors.
