
Kent State Earns USTFCCCA All-Academic Honorees

NEW ORLEANS – The Kent State men's and women's track and field teams, along with six individual student-athletes, received All-Academic honors for the 2024 season, the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced on Tuesday.
To earn All-Academic Team distinction, a program must have at least a 3.00 cumulative team GPA.
Student-athletes must have completed at least two semesters at the nominating institution with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 and finished the indoor season ranked in the national top 96 in a championship individual event or ranked in the national top 48 in any championship relay event, certifiable by their place on final season performance lists on by TFRRS.org or participated in any round of the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
Aliesha Shaw earned All-Academic honors for the third year in a row, while Kristian Kneffler, Alexandre Malanda, and Grace Luther earned the award for the second straight season. Gabby Bailey, Ayden Bath, Matilde Carboncini, Svenia DeConinck, Layne Studer and Liam Vinskovich all received their first USTFCCCA academic accolade.
