
Field Hockey announces 2024 Promotional Schedule

KENT – The Kent State Field Hockey team has announced their 2024 promotional schedule for their seven-game home slate. The Flashes open the season with a two-game homestand on August 30th and September 1st against Indiana and Liberty.
The home opener will feature a schedule poster and seat cushion giveaway. The game against Liberty is Youth Day and the annual FlaSHEs Will game, fans can create their own field hockey stick and form a pregame high-five tunnel during team walkout.
KSU returns to Murphy-Mellis Field after a road trip to California for the 50 years of KSU Field Hockey game on September 13th against Penn State. Fans will receive a powder blue rally towel before the game and are encouraged to wear their powder blue Kent State gear to the game for the powder blue out. On September 20th, the Flashes open MAC play against Ball State for Fan Appreciation Day, featuring free Handel's Ice Cream for the first 100 fans. During pregame, the seniors' Most Valuable Professors will be honored for their support of KSU athletes.
October 4th is Mental Health Awareness Day against Appalachian State and fans will receive a free stress ball. October 18th the Flashes host Central Michigan for the annual Cancer Awareness Game and fans and students can claim their pink cancer awareness wristbands at the gate. The final home game of the season is October 25th against Bellarmine for Senior Day and the Gold Out game, fans will receive a gold Kent State Field Hockey t-shirt and are encouraged to wear gold to support the Flashes.
