
Cross Country Teams Compete at We Fly Championship Preview

MUNCIE, Ind. — The Kent State cross country teams returned to action on Saturday afternoon at the We Fly Championship Preview, which was held at Ball State Cross Country Course, home of the 2024 Mid-American Conference Championships.
In the men's 8k race, senior Baidy Ba was the Golden Flashes' top performer. Ba placed sixth with a time of 25:25.4. Graduate student Ethan Yost (14th – 27:08.2), sophomore Rylan Winkler (16th – 27:21.3), sophomore Isaac Perez (18th – 27:47.3) and graduate student Jacob Mirabell (19th – 27:53.4) also posted top-20 finishes.
Junior Nicole Kuehner (20:28.7) and senior Sydney Miller (20:32.6) paced Kent State in the women's 6k race. Kuehner ran a time of 24:17.3 for 18th-place and Miller finished 19th in 24:27.5.
Kent State will next be in action for the Paul Short Run, hosted by Lehigh University, on Saturday, Oct. 5.
