
Golden Flashes to Open Conference Play at Home Against Ball State

KENT – Kent State Men's Basketball posted a 9-3 record in non-conference play. The Golden Flashes now prepare to start their Mid-American Conference schedule against the Ball State University Cardinals on Saturday, Jan. 4 at 2:00 p.m. inside the M.A.C. Center. Most recently the blue and gold defeated Heidelberg University at home by a final score of 84-80. Three different Flashes tallied double-digits in the win. Jalen Sullinger and VonCameron Davis each tallied a season high in scoring, and Mike Bekelja dropped a career high of 14 points.
Against the Cardinals
This will be meeting number 94 between the Kent State and Ball State programs. KSU leads the all-time series 50-43. The Cardinals came out on top in the most recent matchup held in Muncie, Ind. on March 5, 2024, by a final score 76-69. Ball State (6-6) is averaging 75.5 per game with a +5.0 scoring margin and are shooting 44.4%. Ball State Head Coach Michael Lewis is in season three at the helm of the Ball State program. He holds a 41-34 record coming into this meeting with Kent State.
