Three Kent State Soccer Players Earn 2025 All-MAC Honors

CLEVELAND, Ohio- Three members of the Kent State soccer team earned yearly awards from the Mid-American Conference, the league office announced Friday. Senior defender Kelsey Salopek and junior midfielder Samantha Miller earned 2nd Team All-MAC honors while freshman forward Mia Cleroux was named to the All-Freshman team.

The Munhall, Pennsylvania native is wrapping up her collegiate career for the Golden Flashes with her third season of All-MAC honors with an appearance on the 1st team in 2023 and the All-Freshman team in 2022.
Salopek proved to be one of the top scoring threats for the Golden Flashes this year, finishing the regular season with 10 points off of four goals and two assists, including a streak of three goals in the first three conference games in MAC play. She led the team in game-winning goals with three, while also contributing 15 Shots on Goal. In her career she has contributed 11 goals, three assists, 83 shots and five game-winning goals.
The Butler, Pennsylvania native won her first conference honors as she led the team in points this season with 12 coming off of four goals and four assists. Since transferring from Michigan State, she has accumulated six goals and five assists with the Blue and Gold.Â
This season she led the team in shots with 33, while 16 of them were on target. She also scored a game winning goal in the first game of the season against Cleveland State.
The Ottawa, Ontario, Canada native became a big part of the Flashes offense this year as she started 10 games and played in all 19 in her first season for the Golden Flashes, accumulating over 900 minutes of play. She became a prominent scoring threat for Kent State as the year went on as she scored seven points off of two goals and three assists. She produced a high shot volume with 21 shots and 10 of them on goal in 2025.
