KENT – Guard Omer Hamama has signed his Grant-In-Aid Agreement to join Kent State men's basketball. The Reshon LeZion, Isreal native will join the Golden Flashes for the upcoming 2025-2026 season.
A non-traditional freshman, Hamama comes to Kent State University after playing professionally in his home country. Most recently during the 2024-2025 season he was with Migdal HaEmek of the National League, and Hapoel Afula competing in the highest professional league in Isreal the Winners League.
"When we came back to campus this fall, we saw a real need for help in the backcourt and were fortunate that through our contacts to find that Omer was available and wanted to come to the United States for college.", said coach Senderoff. "While he is new to college basketball, Omer has experience as a player and is older. He competes daily and is a natural point guard. He is a welcome addition to our roster."
