KENT, Ohio – The Kent State Herb Page men's golf team welcomed its newest addition on Friday, as 2026 signee Jiu-You Lin officially put pen to paper on his Grant In Aid agreement.
The first official addition to the Golden Flashes' 2026 class, Lin hails from Kaohsiung, Taiwan, where he has amassed a remarkable junior golf career.
Lin claimed two first-place finishes in 2024 and 2025 AJGA events hosted by the C.T. Pan Foundation through the International Pathway Series in Taiwan, posting even par in the 2024 event and 1-over-par this past January. He has also impressed in various Taiwanese national tournaments within the last 12 months. Lin posted a final tally of 8-under-par to win the 2025 National Fall Tournament in September, followed by a runner-up placement at the 2025 National High School Championship in October, where he fired a 72-hole score of 5-under-par.
In March, Lin fired a final tally of 7-under-par to place third at the National Spring Tournament, preceded by another third-place finish at the 2024 National High School Championship last Fall, where he recorded a 6-under-par 72-hole score.
When Lin officially begins his collegiate career with the Flashes ahead of the 2026-27 season, he will join Ramiro Acevedo (Argentina), Darcy Hogg (Ireland), Isaiah Ibit (Canada), and Christoffer Leuenhagen (Denmark) as international golfers on the Kent State roster.
