Kent State Softball Announces 2026 Schedule

KENT – The Kent State University Softball team has announced its full schedule for the 2026 regular season. The Golden Flashes in their third season under the direction of Head Coach Jess O'Donnell will play a 54-game schedule that includes four multi-team series and 27 conference games.
"Our spring preseason schedule will be all about growth.", said coach O'Donnell. "This fall we have emphasized fundamentals, invested in developing our depth, and focused on building a strong team identity/culture. Our schedule will give us opportunities to test ourselves and learn from each game heading into conference play. We will be better prepared, connected, and ready to compete for a MAC Championship."
The Blue and Gold will open the season at the Wofford Tournament against IU Indy on Feb. 6. KUS will play host Wofford College and IU Indianapolis twice, and Monmouth once. Kent State will then play at the Winthrop Tournament against the host, Robert Morris and LeMoyne. The Flashes' fourth and fifth opponents of the weekend will be determined by seeding.
KSU then has another five-game weekend hosted by the University of North Carolina Greensboro where they will play twice against the host, twice against Bucknell, and once against Canisius. February wraps up with a trip to the University of Alabama for one matchup with the host and two games each against USF and St. Thomas.
The Golden Flashes will then play their 27-game MAC schedule beginning with their home opener at Devine Diamond scheduled for March 13 vs. UMass at 3:00 p.m. Kent State's series with Akron will be highlighted by a game at Firestone Stadium on April 7. KSU will play a three-game series with all other schools in the MAC broken up with non-conference meetings with Robert Morris (March 17), Mercyhurst (March 25), and Youngstown State (April 21).
The MAC Championship Tournament will be held at Firestone Stadium from May 6-9, 2026.
