Golden Flashes to Host Toledo Rockets on Tuesday Night

KENT, Ohio – The Kent State Men's Basketball team (18-9) is set to host the University of Toledo in the M.A.C. Center on Tuesday, Feb. 25. Tipoff between the Golden Flashes and Rockets is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. inside the M.A.C. Center.
Last Time Out
Most recently Kent State fell in overtime to Miami University on Feb. 21 by a final score of 96-92. Delrecco Gillespie led the Golden Flashes in rebounding with 12 while scoring a career high of 20 points for his second season and career double-double. Jalen Sullinger matched him in points with 20 for double-digit game number 20 on the year. Cli'Ron Hornbeak pulled in 10 points nine rebounds just one shy of a double-double himself. Cian Medley scored 16 for his third double-digit performance in the last four games.
Scouting the Rockets
Toledo enters their second meeting of the season with Kent State on with a 16-11 record overall, and a 9-5 record in the MAC. The Rockets are coming off a home one-point loss to Bowling Green (69-68 final score on Feb. 21). Four Rockets are averaging double-digits: Sam Lewis (15.4), Sonny Wilson (15.4), Javan Simmons (11.5), and Isaiah Adams (11.0). Head Coach Todd Kowalczyk is in his 15th year at the helm of the Toledo Men's Basketball program entering this matchup against Kent State with an overall record of 294-192.

For International Night our parade of nations will take place at halftime of Tuesday's game featuring 38 countries. Additionally, the 2023 MLS Cup will be in the M.A.C. Center for a photo op.
