CLEVELAND — Six Kent State student-athletes have been recognized as members of the 2025 Women's Basketball Academic All-MAC Team, the Mid-American Conference office announced on Thursday.
The Academic All-MAC Team honors student-athletes who have excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport. First-year students and transfers in their first year of residence are not eligible for the award.
Seniors Jenna Batsch and Bridget Dunn earned the academic honor for the third time, while junior Tatiana Thomas was recognized for the second year in a row. Sophomore Mya Babbitt, junior Dionna Gray and senior Bianca Juzzo all received Academic All-MAC Team honors for the first time.
The Golden Flashes have flourished in the classroom under the direction of ninth-year head coach Todd Starkey, as women's basketball student-athletes have earned three Academic All-America® honors and 54 Academic All-MAC honors.
